How to upgrade my subscription

This guide will show you how to upgrade your subscription in a few simple steps. You can do this at any time and your billing will be updated to reflect the changes to your subscription. More details on how your billing will be affected are provided at the end of this article. To begin, navigate to your Account Page by following the steps below.

If you're already on your Account Page, ignore these steps and start at the blue bullet point below

  1. Log in to your account on AppointmentThing.com
  2. Click the solid blue circle containing a white letter in the top right corner of the home page. This will cause a drop-down menu to appear with the options "Account", "Users", "Help" and "Log out"
  3. Click the 'Account' option on the drop-down menu to navigate to your AppointmentThing Account Page


To upgrade your subscription

Upgrading your subscription is easy and involves only a few simple steps. There will be no interruption to your service when you upgrade from one plan to another. The first green bullet point below shows how to upgrade from AppointmentThing Basic plan to either Premium or Pro, and the second green bullet point shows how to upgrade from Premium to Pro.


  • To upgrade to a paid plan
  1. Scroll down to the section labeled "Membership & Billing" on the bottom half of your account page
  2. Click the blue 'Upgrade Plan' button as shown in the image below
  3. A white pop-up will appear that shows what is included with both the Premium and Pro plans. Choose the plan you want by clicking one of the blue 'Select' buttons
  4. You'll be taken to an "Upgrade account" pop-up that will look like the image below. Choose the number of account users you want, then select a monthly or annual billing cycle and enter your credit card information in the fields provided


  5. When you're happy with your choices, click the blue 'Confirm' button to upgrade your account
  6. When you do so, the credit card you entered will be charged for the cost of your chosen plan and your account will be upgraded to that plan type! 
  7. In the "Plan" part of the "Membership & Billing" section, you'll be able to see that your plan has been changed to "Pro" 


  • To upgrade from Premium to Pro
  1. Scroll down to the section labeled "Membership & Billing" on the bottom half of your account page
  2. Click the 'Upgrade to Pro' link as shown in the image below
  3. A white pop-up will appear that displays the proposed change in your plan, how your ongoing billing will be affected, and the estimated amount that will immediately be charged to the credit card associated with your AppointmentThing account. Please review this information carefully to ensure you understand and accept the changes that are being made to your subscription. (For details on how pro-rated billing is calculated, please review the "Pro-rated billing" section below)
  4. When you're happy with your choices, click the blue 'Confirm' button to upgrade your account
  5. When you do so, the credit card associated with your account will be charged for the cost of your chosen plan and your account will be upgraded to that plan type!
  6. In the "Plan" part of the "Membership & Billing" section, you'll be able to see that your plan has been changed to "Pro" 


  • Pro-rated billing
    When you upgrade from Premium monthly to Pro monthly, or from Premium annual to Pro annual, your billing cycle will be unaffected and you'll be charged a pro-rated amount for the Pro plan. This means, for example, that if you only have 10 days left until your paid subscription's auto-renewal date, you'll only be charged for 10 days of your new Pro plan. You'll then be charged the full amount for your Pro plan on the renewal date.

    When you upgrade from a monthly to an annual plan, your billing cycle will be changed to start on the day you upgraded to the annual plan. You'll be charged a pro-rated amount for your annual plan that equates to the full cost of the annual plan minus the value of the days you still had left on your monthly plan
