Sharing your general AppointmentThing link

If you have multiple appointment types and you want to give your invitees the ability to pick the type of appointment they'd like to book with you, you can share your general AppointmentThing link with them. The general link will take your attendees to the Select Appointment Type Page where they can then select their desired appointment type.

This guide will show you how to share your general AppointmentThing link. To share your link, begin by navigating to your Appointment Types Page by following the steps below. 

If you're already on the Appointment Types Page, ignore these steps and start at the blue bullet point below

  1. Log in to your account on AppointmentThing.com
  2. Click 'My appointments' at the top of the home page
  3. Click the 'Appointment Types' link in the menu on the left side of the page to navigate to your Appointment Types Page

It's important to note that when you share your general AppointmentThing link with your invitees, they'll be redirected to the Select Appointment Type Page, from which they'll be able to select any appointment type that is turned on and that is not a secret appointment type. If you turn off one of your appointment types, your invitees will be unable to book that type of appointment with you, and it will not appear as an option on the Select Appointment Type Page.   • To share your general AppointmentThing link:

  1. Hover your mouse over the blue 'appointmentthing.com/personal-link' that appears on the top of the appointment types page.

  2. Click on the 'Copy link' icon that appears in the pop-up.
    Your general AppointmentThing link will now be copied to your clipboard.

  3. Share this URL with your invitees however you would like by pasting it in another application. You can text it to them, email it to them, or even add it into your email signature. When your invitees click it, they'll be taken to the page shown in the image above, from which they can select and book an appointment type of their choosing with you.


  • To embed your general AppointmentThing link in your email signature
  1. Click on the drop-down arrow that is to the right of your personal link at the top of the Appointment Types page.

  2. Select the email signature option in the drop-down list.

  3. Follow the steps in the how-to guide to embed this link in your email signature.

Licenses available It looks like your user profile hasn't been assigned a license yet. In the "Account" -> "Users" section you can adjust and assign licenses.


If you don't have permission to assign and manage licenses yourself then please get in touch with an account administrator.

We made AppointmentThing available to everyone on June 1st. Thanks so much for trying it out!

Prior to the launch, we were busy testing.. testing.. testing, correcting, then more testing.. testing.. testing and correcting.

Upcoming changes
Over the next couple of months, we’ll be gathering user feedback and (of course) be using the tools ourselves. Our testing and correcting will continue, and during this time we hope to learn a lot about the following:

  • What would be nice to have
  • What we need to improve right away
  • What needs a bit more explanation
  • Any issues or anything not working correctly

As a result, you’ll probably see us moving things around a bit: changing labels here and there, adding new functionality and options, updating tutorials, etc. It’s all part of the process.
