Changes have happened with the way all day events are affected depending on how you add them with Apple Calendar and where you add them from. Before we, when creating all day events, you were able to select whether or not the event Shows As "Busy" or "Free". However, Apple has made updates that limit when and where you can set an event as "Free" or "Busy." Below is a break down of the scenarios, the results, and what to look for when your AppointmentThing availability does not line up with your Apple Calendar.
What We've Found
Scenario 1: Using a Mac computer with the Apple Calendar Application and adding All Day Events but when doing so, AppointmentThing does not remove that days timeslots from the booking page but I do want it to
Action
Using the Apple Calendar Application, create an All Day Event
Issue
Upon doing so, the All Day Event does not remove your booking availability time slots from the booking page.
Solution
Using your Apple Phone Calendar Application edit the event, and change the Show As status to "Busy"
Once your event status has been set to Busy, your availability will be reflected correctly on AppointmentThing. We only remove events that have the Busy status set for a calendar item
Scenario 2: Using iCloud.com with the Apple Calendar Application and adding All Day Events and when doing so, AppointmentThing does remove that days timeslots from the booking page but I do not want it to
Action
Using the iCloud.com Apple Calendar Application, create an All Day Event
Issue
Upon doing so, the All Day Event does remove your booking availability time slots from the booking page
Solution
Using your Apple Phone Calendar Application edit the event, and change the Show As status to "Free"
Once your event has been set to Free, your avaialbility will be reflected correctly on AppointmentThing. We ignore events that have the Free status set for a calendar item
